Police investigating a report of assault in a Sunderland nightclub have issued the image of a man they would like to trace.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "It was reported that a man had been in Trilogy on Green Terrace in the city centre, when he was approached by another man who was not known to him at around 3am on Saturday, November 26.
"Following a verbal dispute, the offender has then proceeded to assault the victim by kicking and punching him.

"The victim, aged 22, has suffered bruising to his hands, as well as a fractured eye socket and broken nose as a result."
The offender has fled the area on foot, and the incident was later reported to police.
An investigation was launched and a number of enquiries have been ongoing since the report was made.

As part of their enquiries, police have today (Wednesday) issued an image of a man they would like to speak to.
It is believed that he was in the area at the time of the incident and could have information which assists the investigation.
The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to contact police using the ‘Tell Us Something’ page on our website, quoting crime reference number 140931Q/22.
