Morrisons announced on Wednesday (March 22) that they would be opening a store at Great Park in Newcastle next Wednesday (March 29) - and here is what expected from the new supermarket chain.
The store on Brunton Drive will feature Morrisons famous Market Street counters, a Café as well as Nutmeg clothing, will have a 185-space car park, is expected to be open from 7am to 11pm.

The supermarket was initially approved in 2021, after councillors rubber stamped the new Morrisons store after years of residents complaining about a lack of amenities.
The planning committee was following the recommendation of civic centre officials who hope the supermarket could act as a “catalyst” for more businesses to move onto the Great Park at last.
Shortly after it was given approval, an artist impression of the Morrisons in Newcastle were shared.
It will create 140 jobs and provide a boost for the local economy, according to Morrisons.
