Three people were arrested, and a quantity of suspected cocaine seized after a high speed car chase through Darlington early this morning.
A Durham Police spokesperson said Darlington response officers saw a Toyota Hilux acting suspiciously in Darlington just after 1am this morning (Wednesday, March 22).
When it failed to stop, they started a pursuit.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “The vehicle was driven at speed through several streets and ran red lights before the three occupants tried to leg it.
“The trio were chased down and it looks like the officers’ instincts were correct when one of the men was found with what is believed to be cocaine.
“A search of the AirBnB they were staying at also revealed several tools which were believed to have been stolen.”
