An 18-year-old motorbike rider has been left hospitalised with serious head injuries after a crash on Monday (March 20) afternoon.
The teen who was riding a Yamaha motorbike sustained his injuries in a crash with a black Hyundai at lunchtime on Monday.
Emergency crews including the air ambulance rushed to the scene on Normanby Road in Middlesbrough at 12.20pm.

The motorbike rider suffered serious head injuries and was taken to James Cook University Hospital by road and the air ambulance stood down.
Police are now probing the incident and urging any witnesses to come forward with more information.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for information following a collision involving a black Hyundai vehicle and a Yamaha motorbike on Normanby Road in Middlesbrough.

The road was closed for several hours throughout the afternoon.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have dash cam footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 052388.”
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service added: “We sent two emergency ambulances, one clinical team lead, one rapid response paramedic, and requested help from our colleagues at the Great North Air Ambulance Service. We transported one patient to James Cook University Hospital.”
