A Darlington park has had an amusing addition to its picnic area sign.
Broken Scar, in High Coniscliffe, is a picturesque area for walks and picnics.
One person with a sense of humour, however, made an addition to the sign to give passers-by a good giggle.
The sign reading: ‘Broken Scar Picnic Area’ has had a sticker put over the word ‘area’ and instead it reads: ‘Official Dogging Area.’

The sticker has led to hilarity on social media in the Facebook group ‘You Know You’re From Darlo When’ with members tagging each other and asking if they were responsible.

The post has clearly tickled the funny bones of Darlington residents and so far has racked up 420 reactions, 84 comments, and 34 shares.
The sticker is perhaps a play on words as the park is so popular with local dog-walkers.
