A woman had her handbag stolen after being threatened with a weapon near to a hospital in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, March 11).
The incident happened at around 7.15am on Hardwick Road in Stockton, near to North Tees Hospital.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

The woman was approached by a man who threatened her with a weapon and stole her handbag.
He then made off in the direction of Piperknowle Road in Hardwick.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Officers are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number SE23045930”
