A blanket of snow arrived for many across the North East on Tuesday (March 7) morning.
Some awoke to a mere dusting of the white stuff while there was a thicker covering in some parts of the region.
In parts of Northumberland and North Yorkshire some spots experienced 2-3cm of cover.

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice remains in place for across our region until 10am on Wednesday.
A further warning for snow is in place from 3am on Thursday (March 8) until 6pm on Friday.
Dog walkers at Blyth beach and Alnwick Castle in Northumberland tread snow-covered sand and grass on Tuesday morning.

In North Yorkshire pictures captured snowy conditions at Goathland train station.
More than 10cm of snow fell in parts of northern Scotland on Monday and 20cm of snow could fall later in the week as a cold snap brings snow, ice, wind and rain.
Temperatures dipped to minus 7.6C at Altnaharra in the Scottish Highlands on Monday night and the small hamlet was covered in 12cm of snow, more than anywhere else in the UK.
