A hair salon claiming to be the world’s first barbers with a mullet-only menu has thrown open its doors for one weekend only.
The Dirty Gertie’s Mullet Salon will allow customers to get their hair styled in an iconic mullet hairdo absolutely free.

A ‘mullet menu’ offering a range of styles from the 80s muller to the modern ‘shullet’ is available, with no booking required.
The salon threw open its doors on Saturday (March 4) morning in Newcastle with Geordie-born Vicky Pattison putting the stylists’ scissors to a different use as she cut the ribbon to officially open the venue.

Vicky said: “I am absolutely buzzing to be back in the Toon with all my fellow Geordies. It’s epic to see mullets are truly back in fashion, and what a way to celebrate. Foxy Bingo sure knows how to bring the party, launching the world’s first ‘mullet-only’ salon!”

The unusual salon has been launched with Foxy Bingo with games of musical bingo also on the cards.
The gambling firm is also hosting a national competition calling on proud mullet-bearers and take the best picture for the opportunity to win a gift card worth more than £2,000.
Anyone wanting to face the chop has until close on Sunday (March 5) before the pop-up venue shuts shop.
