A well-known Indian restaurant in Darlington has released CCTV after two of its customers left without paying their bill.
Cafe Spice, on Clark’s Yard in the town centre, has shared the footage on social media and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Ishy Miah, manager of Café Spice said the two women visited the restaurant last Sunday (February 26) and ordered a lot of food and drink amounting to £83.
The hungry pair visited the curry house at around 8.30pm and ordered vodka, rum, and wine.

Mr Miah said they had been “a bit loud and disruptive” and other diners had noticed.
Mr Miah said: “We gave them the same service everyone else gets but they were a bit loud. They ordered their food and drinks, but something seemed a bit off.
“They said they were going outside for a vape. I didn’t really think anything of it and then suddenly they were gone.
“We’ve never really had anything like that before. We’ve been going for 16 years and we’ve had the occasional people try it on but we’ve never had people actually run away without paying before.
“Since we put the CCTV footage on Facebook I’ve been contacted by 30-40 people giving me the same two names.”

Cafe Spice posted the footage on Facebook. The post read: “Puff, puff, POOOF they’re gone! Does anyone recognise these two women who ate at our restaurant tonight but unfortunately did not pay. Any information will be helpful, please share.”
On the footage, the women are seen vaping just outside the restaurant before not so subtly looking around and fleeing the scene.
