A man has been arrested after a car failed to stop in Darlington today.
The incident occurred in the Whinfield Road area of the town this afternoon (Tuesday, February 28).
The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of several driving offences, and he remains in custody.
A spokeswoman for Durham Police said: “A man has been arrested after a car failed to stop for police in the Whinfield Road area of Darlington at 1.53pm today.
“After a short pursuit of around three minutes, the vehicle was stopped and a 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance, and failing to stop for police.
“He has been taken to police custody.”
