An adult pantomime is making its way to Darlington this Spring as Mother Goose prepares to shock audiences, but parents may want to leave the kids at home with a babysitter for this one.

Liam Mellor and Hot Rocks Productions are bringing back another night of “fun and fabulous filth.”

Some of the cast of last year’s Sleeping with Beauty are making a return, including; Robert Squire who will be playing Demon Vanity, resident panto dame Jimmy Burton-Iles as Mother Goose, and Eilish Stout-Cairns is playing another mischievous fairy.

The show opened last weekend at the Billingham Forum and the cast was at Bolton Albert Hall last night (Sunday, February 26).

Liam said: “It will be a night of fun and fabulous filth. Keep the kids at home for this one and get a babysitter. It will include all your usual panto antics but with a different twist.”

Liam is playing Billy Goose and he said the dynamic between the cast has been easy-going as they all gel well with each other.

This is the longest UK tour for Hot Rocks Productions and the cast will be on the road until Saturday, June 10.

Liam said: “Bringing back some of the cast from last year means we’ve just been able to crack on and get on with rehearsing and it’s just been a joy. We’ve got three shows under our belt now. The last couple of weeks has been tiring just because it is an intense rehearsal period but we were sold out for both shows at Billingham which was brilliant.”

Eilish Stout-Cairns said: “It's been an honour to be asked to dust off my fairy wand. This time as Fairy Hanny! Darlington Hippodrome was a bucket list venue for me to perform in last year, and I cannot wait to be back again, especially playing such a funny and fierce fairy! Mother Goose Cracks One Off is certainly a hoot!”

“The audience gives you energy. The more they laugh the more we want to make them laugh. We do get a few hecklers which is fine, as long as they’re prepared for what they get back!

“We really enjoyed performing in Darlington last year so we’re hoping for the same kind of audience who are up for a good laugh.

“The audience keeps the cogs turning for us and we just want to make people laugh.”
