A Post Office branch is set to reopen in County Durham after closing for three months due to its Postmaster's resignation last year.
Delves Lane Post Office has announced it will be reopening its branch in a new location on Briardale Local in Consett next month (March 20).
The Post Office, which closed after the resignation of its Postmaster in November last year, will be open to the public at 1pm.
Meanwhile, the new branch will be open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, for a total of 54 hours of service.

Speaking on the reopening, Gail Burnett, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted to be restoring Post Office services to Moortown as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.”
Adding to this, the new premises has a wide door and a step at the entrance to the premises.
It also has a portable ramp which will be available upon request, and a bell to request assistance.

A Post Office spokesperson said they were keen to restore service as soon as possible to go ahead with their plan.
The opportunity to give feedback ahead of the location's opening will close on March 16.
