Former Health Secretary Matt Hancock has been heavily criticized for appearing on the 2022 version of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Last month, it was revealed that Hancock had received a six-figure fee for his appearance on the show. 

Ant and Dec recently opened up about their thoughts on the matter, with Dec saying it was 'very difficult' having Hancock on the show due to the backlash it received at the time.

Ant explained that the majority of celebs that take part in the show come with some sort of 'baggage', and Dec responded to the critics of Hancock's booking choice, saying their point of view had 'validity.'

Hancock has been criticized for breaking the lockdown rules that he had set when a video emerged of him kissing then-aide Gina Coladangelo.

Since the show ended, some campmates have spoken out about how they struggled with him being a campmate due to the decision he made during the coronavirus pandemic.
