A County Durham shopping outlet has found itself on a roll, after being accoladed in the Loo of the Year awards for the 18th year on the trot.
The facilities at Murton's shopping destination, Dalton Park, retained their status of Eco Loo for the second year running, in affection to achieving a 'Platinum Plus' award - an improvement on the Platinum status they had previously achieved.
Each entry is assessed against 100 different elements judging including signage and décor, fixtures and fittings and overall standards of cleanliness and management.

The praise for Dalton Park’s toilet facilities comes after an independent, unannounced visit from judges late last year.
Staff and management at Dalton Park Outlet Shopping Destination are feeling flushed with success. Cleaning Supervisor Laura Metcalfe and team member Angela Maitland have been ensuring the toilets are in tip-top condition for a combined 16 years and both are "delighted" with the announcement.

“Having long-serving staff members that are really invested in our shared visions and values is key to success and I would like to thank Laura, Angela and everyone else in the team for their ongoing hard work and dedication.
“The awards, which have been identifying the best out-of-home toilet and washroom facilities in Britain since 1987, are always a great start to the year.”
