A popular pub in a North East town is looking for a new owner after it was listed on a major pub groups website.

The Hole in the Wall in Darlington has been listed by Stonegate Pub Partners and is looking for applications from potential new owners.

With a predicted turnover of £354,000, the pub has been described as creating the “perfect tight-knit community-based pub” thanks to its one-bar operation.

On the first floor of the venue, the building offers an additional room which could be utilised as a private function room or separate dining area for a more intimate experience.

According to the description the pub also “boasts a great outside space to the front on the market square which is extremely popular in the warmer months.”

It adds: “The Hole in the Wall is in fantastic condition, has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and a very loyal clientele.”

The pub also sports a private property above which consists of two bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen and a bathroom which would be “perfect for a couple.”

Stonegate Pub Partners said: “Stonegate Pub Partners are seeking a publican who will be able to expand on this through the additional room upstairs and the existing food menu, whilst keeping the customers at the forefront of their decisions.”

Rent for the venue each week currently sits at £519 making with an annual rent of £27,000.
