A woman has tragically died following a serious crash earlier on Sunday (February 19), police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the ‘serious’ collision on Stainton Way in Coulby Newham shortly after 11am.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident, a white Volvo estate and a silver Nissan Micra.

Police have confirmed that the female driver of the Nissan Micra sadly died at the scene.
Earlier the ambulance service confirmed that one person had been hospitalised, and another two were treated at the scene by medical professionals.
Police are now appealing for witnesses of the collision to assist their enquiries.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any dashcam footage of either vehicle around the time of the collision, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101.”

Two fire crews attended the scene and made both vehicles safe. The air ambulance also attended but was stood down and left the scene at about 12.15pm without any casualties on board.
The road was closed for several hours and reopened shortly after 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon once the accident was cleared.
