One person has been taken to hospital following a serious crash earlier on Sunday (February 19) morning.
The air ambulance, police, paramedics and fire crews were all called to the scene on Stainton Way in Coulby Newham following the ‘serious’ collision shortly after 11am.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident which left one person was hospitalised.

Another was treated by medical professionals at the scene.
A North East Ambulance Service statement said: “We were called at 11.05 to reports of a road traffic collision on Stainton Way. We dispatched the air ambulance, two paramedic ambulance crews, a specialist paramedic and a clinical team leader.
“Two patients were treated on scene, and one was taken to James Cook Hospital.”

Two fire crews also attended the scene and made both vehicles safe.
The air ambulance was stood down and left the scene at about 12.15pm without any casualties on board.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area as the road was closed for several hours. It remained closed into Sunday afternoon (as of 3.15pm).
