Police are appealing for information after two incidents in the same evening in Stockton that saw a violent assault and an armed burglary.
The first incident happened around 8.30pm on Tuesday (February 14) when a man in his fifties was approached on Yarm Lane by two males who got out of a white vehicle, assaulted him by punching and kicking him and took his money.
The man suffered minor injuries.

The first suspect is described as a white male, around 18 years old, 6 ft tall, with black hair and wearing a blue coat. The second suspect is described as a white male, around 18/19 years old with brown hair.
Officers would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dash cam footage to contact them.
Around 9.25pm on the same evening, a man entered the Spar store on High Newham Road in Hardwick and made threats whilst possibly in possession of a weapon.
He made off from the store with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.
The two incidents are not believed to be linked.
