A man has died following a collision involving a motorbike and a pedestrian while he pushed his bicycle on a Darlington street yesterday evening (February 11).
Durham Police have confirmed a man has died after a crash involving a motorcyclist and pedestrian on Freeman's Place in Darlington on Saturday evening.
They attended the scene alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) aftrer receiving reports of the incident shortly after 7:10pm.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the rider of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough where he still remains.
In a statement this evening, a Durham Police spokesperson said: "Police were called shortly after 7.10pm to a collision on Freeman’s Place involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.
"Paramedics also attended but, despite their best efforts, the pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
"The rider of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, where he remains."
The NEAS confirmed a doctor, a rapid response paramedic and a clinical team leader all attended the scene.
This comes after Haughton Road outside of Bannatyne Gym was closed for a number of hours at around 9pm last night as emergency services converged on the area.
Drivers were asked to use alternative routes while emergency services attended the incident.
In a statement, an NEAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 19.10h to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a cyclist on Freeman's Place in Darlington.

“We dispatched two ambulance crews, a doctor, a rapid response paramedic and a clinical team leader. One patient was taken to James Cook Hospital.”
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or anybody who may have any dashcam footage from the area at the time of the incident.
