A new petrol station in the North East has opened and is boasting cheap prices for drivers.
Found in Gateway Retail Park in Middlesbrough the Esso petrol station opened as of yesterday (Saturday, February 11).
The new station will also sport a Londis shop open for 24 hours.
Inside the shop drivers can find a Costa machine, sandwiches, a selection of hot paninis and wraps.
Prices for the new station are fairly low in comparison to other stations in the area with unleaded sitting at £140.90, and diesel sitting at £162.9.

It comes as on Friday the Northern Echo recorded the cheapest petrol station in Middlesbrough as the Tesco in Billingham on Marsh House Avenue.
Here unleaded was at £140.9 with diesel at £161.9 – so the new station looks to be keeping its prices competitive.
PA reported on January 31 that the average price of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts was 148.8p, figures from data company Experian show.
That was up from 148.4p a week earlier but remains considerably lower than the record high of 191.5p in July 2022.
Earlier this month on February 2 Shell recorded the highest profit in its 115-year history as a benefit of soaring energy prices.

Political and environmental campaigners criticised the profit jump as “obscene” and “outrageous” as UK households face soaring energy costs.
On Thursday (February 2), Shell said that core profits rocketed to 84.3 billion dollars (£68.1 billion) in 2022
The figure represents one of the highest profits ever recorded by a UK company.
