An appeal has been launched after a woman suffered an alleged assault by a man police believe to be on the run.
North Yorkshire Police (NYP) have launched an investigation into a serious assault on a woman today (February 9) and are looking for Harrogate man, Darren Atkinson in connection with the incident.
Police believe the 37-year-old is evading arrest in connection with the incident, and that he is still in the Harrogate area.
Atkinson has been wanted since last month (January 31) and extensive enquires are underway to bring him into custody for questioning.
