An investigation has been launched after a body was found in a North East town on Thursday (February 9).
Northumbria Police have launched an investigation after a man's body was found in the Bowes Court area of Blyth yesterday at 12:10pm.
Police had initially been called to the area receiving reports concerning the welfare of a man, before he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as "unexplained" by police and a cordon has been erected at the scene.

In a statement today, a Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At 12.10pm today (Thursday) officers received a report of concern for the welfare of a man in the Bowes Court area of Blyth.
“Emergency services attended the scene and found a man who was confirmed as deceased at the scene. His next of kin are aware.
“Officers are currently treating the man’s death as unexplained. An investigation has been launched and officers remain in the area to carry out enquiries."
A team wearing forensic suits reportedly arrived in the area to carry out the investigation.
Meanwhile, the fornesics officers were seen taking photographs of the scene as they combed the area.
