A sixteen-year-old boy had to receive medical treatment for injuries after being assaulted by three men.
The incident, which happened in Eston, east Cleveland, at about 8.50 pm on Tuesday, February 7, left the teenage boy with head and facial injuries.
The altercation occured as the victim and two friends walked along Highfield Road.
The group were approached by three male suspects, one of whom made threats with what is believed to be a weapon and forced the 16-year-old to the floor before hitting him to the head.

The three suspects are described as young, white males and all dressed in dark clothing, with one riding a mountain bike. Following the altercation, all of the men headed towards Eston Square.
No serious injuries were suffered, but the 16-year-old boy attended hospital with head and facial injuries and was released following treatment.
