A patient was taken to hospital following a crash involving a pedestrian and a car in a County Durham village last night, it is understood.
The incident happened shortly before 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, February 8).
Police and the ambulance service were in attendance.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 17.19pm yesterday to a medical incident on West Lane, Trimdon.
“We sent one clinical team leader, two doctors and one emergency ambulance. We transported one patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital.”
The road was closed for several hours while officers carried out their investigations at the scene.
Durham Police has been approached for comment.
