A drug dealer has pleaded guilty to nearly a dozen charges just 24 hours after police caught the man with more than £20,000 worth of illegal substances.
Ieuan Phoenix, 25, from Newcastle, pleaded guilty on Saturday (January 28) to 11 charges, after Northumbria Police searched him and found quantities of cocaine, ketamine, 2CB, ecstasy and other drugs in his possession.
This search took place after police observed Phoenix and suspected he was taking part in a series of drug deals on St George’s Terrace, Jesmond last week.

After his arrest, officers searched his home address on Portland Road, finding a further stash of around 1,000 pills, mobile phones and a substantial amount of cash.
After this, Phoenix was charged with 11 offences within 24 hours, including possession with intent to supply cocaine, LSD, and Magic Mushrooms, as well as money laundering.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "This is a fantastic result for us, placing a drug dealer before the courts and securing guilty pleas for a string of serious offences, as well as removing over £20,000 worth of drugs out of circulation.

"These drugs are harmful to our communities in many ways as they are often taken by those most at risk of exploitation and addiction, and the proceeds from their sales are often invested back into serious and organised crime – which no one wants on their doorstep.
"As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing drug-related harm as part of the government funded Project Adder, we will continue our work to pursue offenders and recover their supply, as well as ensuring people are educated about the real risks associated with illegal substances."
Phoenix will be sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court on February 27.
