Get expert advice on how to secure your next job or your dream role with special workshops offered by tech giant Google.
The Google Digital Garage workshops form a key part of the Darlington Jobs Fair, taking place in the sports hall in the Dolphin Centre on Thursday, February 9.
The bespoke Google seminars will focus on key job skills strategies and are offered as part of the company’s commitment to supporting job seekers. Places are limited and must be booked online.
The Jobs Fair, which will run on a drop-in basis between 10am and 2pm, is set to build on previous successful events and will welcome more than 75 different employers and training providers, across a wide range of sectors.

This year’s event also ties in with National Apprenticeship Week, with a range of apprenticeship roles available.
Run by Google Digital Garage, the workshops are available to anyone, from those just starting out to anyone looking to take the next steps.
The first event, Build a CV and Write a Cover Letter, takes place 10.30-11.15am, ang gives an overview of the steps needed to create an engaging CV and compelling cover letter, plus advice on how to search for opportunities online.
The second workshop, Find Your Careers Goals, from 11.30-12.15pm, explores the ingredients to feeling fulfilled at work, ways to identify what matters in your job and how to set goals and routes to become more fulfilled.

Councillor Jamie Bartch, cabinet member for economy, said: “To have a company of the calibre and expertise of Google taking part in our Jobs Fair shows how successful the event has become.
“Anyone who is looking to take the first step on the career ladder or who wants to progress in their chosen career, or even consider a new role, should get signed up now for these free, limited places.
“The Jobs Fair will welcome businesses from every sector - from finance and IT to hospitality and the care sector, vehicle mechanics to personal trainers. It’s also a great chance to meet different training providers and ask questions directly to the people running the courses.
“There are some great jobs on offer in Darlington and we want to make sure local people reap the benefits.”
