A woman was taken to hospital after a crash outside a historic cinema on Monday night.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Northgate in Darlington shortly after 9pm on Monday (January 23), outside the former Odeon cinema, following reports of a pedestrian being involved in a collision.

An eyewitness told The Northern Echo they saw a woman lying in the road, close to the crossing outside the former cinema, with a crowd of people gathered around her.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and she was taken to hospital at Darlington Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: “Police were called shortly after 9pm yesterday to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian on Northgate, near the Odeon cinema.

“Paramedics attended the scene and took the female pedestrian to hospital.”
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 20:59pm yesterday to a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Northgate, Darlington.
"We sent one emergency ambulance and transported one patient to Darlington Memorial Hospital."
