A picture has shown the progress of a new restaurant branch of a major fast-food chain set to open in the North East.
Taco Bell is set to open a drive-thru restaurant in Middlesbrough’s South Bank area just off the A66.
Construction of the new branch on the site, which includes a Burger King and Greggs restaurant, started earlier this year.
Now a new picture, taken by David Reidy, has shown the restaurant is well on its way and is almost complete with a functioning drive-thru, outdoor seating and signage.
Plans for the site will see three drive-thru restaurants constructed along with associated parking.

Recently fast-food lovers were given an update on the opening of the restaurant after it had apparently experienced “delays.”
A statement from the branch in Middlesbrough said: “Hello Middlesbrough,
“We have been inundated with messages asking when we are opening.
“Unfortunately, we’ve been hit with a couple of delays, but not to worry we are fully on course to be with you soon.”
Eager fans have shared their excitement for the news with one person responding with “excellent, can’t wait.”
Another person added: “Hope it’s not long Taco Bell Middlesbrough, I’ve been waiting for the Crunchwrap Supreme.”

Other people already have their eyes on another North East venue with one person commenting: “Come to Darlington please, there’s a perfect place in the town centre to open one.”
Unfortunately, people in Middlesbrough and surrounding areas need to travel quite far for their nearest taco bell in Newcastle or York until this new branch opens.
Currently, there is no opening date set for the new restaurant so fans will have to wait a little bit longer.
