At believe housing, we have a dedicated Employability Team offering one-to-one support and advice to our customers. They can also help anyone who is registered with Durham Key Options and looking for a tenancy.

In 2022 the team supported more than 200 customers – helping 141 people into work and a further 48 into training.

Are you a believe housing customer who wants help to plan for your future?

Whether you are looking for your first job, an apprenticeship, returning to work after a break, or wanting to create a pathway towards training, volunteering, or work opportunities, our team can help.

Our experienced coordinators can offer digital support and help you search for jobs, create a CV and covering letter, complete application forms, research job opportunities and help you connect with key contacts.

Are you already in work but looking for a change, a fresh challenge, or a more secure contract? Our In-Work Coordinator can help you make this a reality.

And our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Coordinator can help tackle any barriers or day-to-day health challenges you feel may be hindering your progress.

Joanne Brown, Employability Coordinator, said: “We realise that implementing change and looking for new opportunities can feel like full-time work, so our team of experts is happy to work with you, providing advice and a fresh pair of eyes on the situation, all with a positive, non-judgemental approach.

“Our aftercare support keeps in touch with you once you have started a new job to make sure you’re happy and settled in your new role.”
