A popular North East restaurant has announced it has closed its doors due to financial pressures.
Italian-style restaurant, Scrann, in Stockton, has confirmed it has shut its doors this month after facing economical pressures.
The restaurant, located on Norton Road, has thanked its customers for their support over the years.
The venue, which is situated just off Norton High Street, has been operating in the area since 2017

In a statement published on Scrann's website, a spokesperson said: "Unfortunately, due to the current economic climate, Scrann has had to close its doors.
"We would like to thank all our customers for their valued support over the years."
Residents reacted with a mixture of sadness, disappointment, and shock after rumours about the establishment's closure circulated online on January 4.
In a post online, one heartbroken resident said: "What we gonna do now we are overdue a night out as well.
Another disappointed resident said: "It’s a shame, have had a few meals here and the food has always been really nice.
Meanwhile, another upset resident said: "Don't, I’m actually crying."
Adding to this, other residents wished the staff well and hoped they could find work again after the business shut so close to Christmas.

Before the closure announcement, residents had said they had been attempting to contact Scrann without receiving a response.
The restaurant is owned by businessman Barry Faulkner, who also owns other Norton businesses such as Meet at 12, Canteen and Cocktails, The Scruffy Duck, and Banh Mi.

He also owns another Teesside business, The Middlesbrough Empire on Corporation Road.
His establishment, Meet at 12, was previusly known as 12 Harland Place before undergoing a huge refurbishment.
