An elderly woman making her way to her car suffered serious internal and head injuries after being hit by an ‘E-bike’ before the rider made off from the scene
The incident happened at around 12.55pm yesterday (Thursday, January 12) on Hartburn Lane in Stockton.
Approaching her vehicle she was struck by an unknown male on what’s described as an “E-bike.”

The male then left the scene, however, it is not known which direction he went.
The lady, aged in her late 70s, fell to the ground sustaining serious internal and head injuries.
She remains at James Cook University Hospital undergoing treatment.

Police are appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage of the incident, including doorbell footage.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “We would appeal for any witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the incident (as well as the E-bike in the moments beforehand) to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number, quoting ref SE23006877.
