This is the dramatic moment a trapped driver was rescued by emergency services on a North East road, before three people were taken to hospital.
A driver had to be cut out of their car by Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS) on Tuesday (January 10), after a crash on Ryhope Road, in Sunderland.
Emergency services have confirmed three people were been taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital, but none were seriously injured.
The incident, which happened shortly before 2pm, saw multiple fire crews and an ambulance deployed to the area.

A picture has emerged of the scene, where firefighters could be seen cutting through the side of the car to rescue the driver.
In a statement today, a TWFRS spokesperson said: "Yesterday, just before 2pm, our Fire Control recieved a call about a Road Traffic Collison on Ryhope Road in Sunderland.
"Our crews from Farringdon and South Shields Community Fire Stations were on scene in just five minutes to begin helping the trapped driver.
"We want to wish the driver a speedy recovery and thank our firefighters and fire control for their quick response!
"We will always be here when you need us"

Working with the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS), the man was safely removed from the vehicle before being placed onto a spinal board.
An NEAS spokesperson has confirmed three people were transported to hospital after the incident.
An NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 2.19pm yesterday (10 January) afternoon to reports of a road traffic incident on Ryhope Road, Sunderland.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew who treated and then transported three patients to the Sunderland Royal Hospital for further treatment."

Meanwhile, Northumbria Police, who also attended the scene, reported the crash involved a wagon and car in Hendon, near the synagogue.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 2.25pm yesterday (Tuesday) police received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a waggon on Ryhope Road in Hendon, Sunderland.
“Emergency services attended the scene where thankfully no serious injuries were reported. The road was cleared shortly after 3pm.”
