Four men approached a BMW before setting it on fire in a spate of vehicle fires in a North East town.
At around 7.32pm a vehicle fire was reported on Tennyson Avenue in Hartlepool.
Four males were seen approaching a parked BMW and set it alight – they also attempted to set a Nissan Juke on fire.
In what police believe is a separate incident, there was another vehicle fire on Thackeray Road.
It happened at around 7.34pm when two unknown males came to the address in a BMW.

They then proceeded to set a parked Suzuki Grand Vitara alight.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “It is not known at this stage whether this offence (reference 4193) is linked to the others.
“If you have any information on any of these incidents, please contact Hartlepool CID on the 101 number.”
