A driver was taken to hospital this morning after a crash on the A66 in Redcar.
The three-vehicle collision occurred just before 8am.
It is as yet unknown if the driver, who was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough suffered injuries.
The vehicles have now been recovered and the road is clear again.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “We were called just before 8am this morning to a three-vehicle collision on the A66 in South Bank.
“One driver was taken to hospital. The vehicles have been recovered and the road is now clear.”
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 07:58am this morning to a road traffic collision on the A66 towards Middlesbrough.
We sent two emergency ambulances and transported one patient to James Cook Hospital.”
