The family of a North East man who died after being hit by a car while riding his bike have paid tribute to their “much-loved” son.
The crash happened at around 6.15pm on Monday, January 2 on Park Vale Road in Middlesbrough.
A large police presence was spotted in the area at the time and it was confirmed that an Audi had hit a cyclist.

Cleveland Police later confirmed that Liam Taylor, aged 30, had died as a result of the crash.
The family of the man have since released a photo of Mr Taylor and have paid tribute to him.
Mr Taylor’s family said: “Liam was a much-loved son, brother and uncle who sadly lost his life too soon.

“He will be missed by everyone who knew him. We would request privacy at this time to allow us to grieve.”
At the time of the incident, a man aged 35 was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Anyone with information or CCTV/ dash cam footage of the collision is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 000957.”
