The application seeks to supersede the approved plans with an updated design to reflect the proposed operations of Exemplar Health Care on behalf of Cairnwell Developments. The proposed amendments include a reduction in the number of beds from 55 to 38 in addition to amendments to the design and layout of the approved building.
Exemplar specialise in providing high-quality specialist nursing care for adults with complex needs such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s Disease and complex dementia.
The application site comprises the former Daycare Centre at Dere Avenue, Bishop Auckland.
