Five men armed with weapons smashed windows and forced their way into a North East house before assaulting a woman.
The incident happened at around 4.13pm on Thursday, December 29 at an address on Nesham Road, Middlesbrough.
It was reported that five men, armed with weapons, smashed windows and forced their way inside the address.

Once inside it is alleged they assaulted a female occupant and caused further damage inside the house.
They left empty handed in a blue coloured vehicle.
The woman was left with facial injuries.
Police have described the men as all wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage of the street.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Officers are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or any dashcam footage which may assist police to contact DC Yasmeen Hussain at Middlesbrough CID.
“Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 233406.”
