An investigation has been launched after a body was found at a dam pumping station.
It was discovered shortly before 9.30am this morning, Wednesday, December 28.
Police received reports of a body which was found at Selby Dam Pumping Station in North Yorkshire.
Police say the body is yet to be identified and police, ambulance and fire are currently in attendance at the scene.
Officers are asking members of the public to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Enquiries are ongoing and further updates will be provided when available.”
