A Tyneside man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 45-year-old man on Friday (December 23).
Andrew Peacock appeared before Newcastle Magistrates court on Monday (December 26) morning charged with the murder of 45-year-old Lee Santos.

Emergency services were called to John Street, Cullercoats shortly before 4.30pm on Friday and found Santos, from Wallsend, with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Santos' family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Peacock, 43, of John Street was arrested at the scene and a full investigation launched.
He was later charged and remanded in custody on Christmas Day before his appearance at Newcastle Magistrates court on Boxing Day.

He submitted no plea at this stage.
Peacock was remanded in custody until a bail hearing at Newcastle Crown Court at 10.30am on Thursday (December 29).
