Pictures of shoppers in the North East dashing for their last-minute Christmas gifts have been captured in chaotic photos that show crammed car parks and tailbacks of traffic.
As families prepare to celebrate Christmas, spend time with one another, and exchange gifts, the draw of getting those last-minute items was too much for some after the scale of cars and shoppers in Teesside Park has been spotted.

In aerial photos taken by Teespix, rows and rows of cars can be seen parked up at the popular shopping centre, while in another photo traffic can be seen queuing to get out of the venue.
In the build-up to Christmas, shoppers have also been seen queuing outside supermarkets to try and grab the essentials before supermarkets and other shops close for Christmas Day.

Elsewhere, people travelling on the roads on Saturday (December 24) can expect an increase in traffic, as people travel within the region and across the country to visit loved ones and friends for Christmas.
