North Yorkshire Police say a man who has been found in the water at Whitby has died.
In a statement issued this morning, police said that they were called at 8.50am by HM Coastguard "with a report of the recovery of a man who had been found in the water near the marina."
Police and ambulance services attended the scene, although sadly the man died.

The identity of the man who was found in the water at Whitby this morning has now been established.
Officers are also in a position to confirm that his death is being treated as non-suspicious.
Officers remain in the area as they conduct enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
