Angry North East people have taken to social media after it was confirmed by Evri that some parcels were being left outside at a County Durham depot.
In a statement provided to The Northern Echo Evri, a major delivery company, said the cause was due to “capacity issues.”
Reports suggested that parcels were being left outside in the elements at the Stanley depot in County Durham.
Staff at the depot, however, were keen to stress that this was not the case, arguing that the parcels were left outside for 10 minutes and were watched the entire time.
However, since publishing the story on The Northern Echo, many people have stressed their anger at not receiving parcels from the well-used delivery service.
In some cases, people have been left waiting over two weeks for their parcels from Evri.

One person said: “I’ve waiting 10 days and still not got my parcel.
Another person added: “My tracking says it arrived at the local facility a week ago but I’m guessing mine is one of those packages.
“I’m going to start to check what delivery company is used before ordering.”
One commenter said: “I’ve waited from November 20 and it’s now December 10.”
Some people have called on the company to be “shut down” and that they have ruined people’s Christmas.
