Blue Light Card discount at Asda is coming to an end with members only having a few more weeks to claim the discount.
The supermarket extended the discount for NHS staff and other Blue Light Card members in October but it will no longer be valid after December 31, 2022.
Asda revealed it was thanking anyone working in the emergency services, including the NHS, police, fire, social care sector and armed forces by offering the 10% discount in store.
Asda discount to end for Blue Light Card members in December 2022
Those who are members can still take advantage of the 10% discount right up until the end date.
The discount can be applied to their Asda shop including food and soft drinks, George clothing and homeware, toys, gifts and optical purchases until December 31.
Steve Bater, spokesman at NHS Money Saving blog NHS Discount Offers, said: "The Asda 10% offer really has been one of the most popular discounts for NHS staff to take advantage of in recent years and its a great way for NHS staff to save on their Christmas shop. Asda have decided to end the discount Dec 31st though so time is really ticking for NHS staff to use their discount.
"The UK is still in the midst of the cost of living crisis and it's great that Asda can still bring a few money saving smiles to NHS staff during the festive period. Times are tough this Christmas and every little helps as we look to save money wherever we can. It’s been a really kind gesture from Asda and we appreciate them running the discount for staff until the end of the year."
