Emergency services were called to the scene this morning after crash left a woman with injuries as the other driver fled the scene.
Police and ambulance services attended a crash in Hartlepool today (November 6) where a woman was left with leg injuries.
The crash, which involved a Ford Ka and Hyundai, took place at the junction of Blakelock Road and Gloucester Street at 8:45am.
Cleveland Police arrested the driver, 20, of the Hyundai on suspicion of dangerous driving shortly after he reportedly left the scene, just a few streets away.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a collision involving a Hyundai and a Ford KA at the junction of Blakelock Road and Gloucester Street in Hartlepool this morning at 8:45am.
"The male driver of the Hyundai reportedly left the scene prior to police arrival.
"Officers arrested the male, 20, a few streets away shortly after on suspicion of dangerous driving.
"The female driver of the Ford Ka has been taken to hospital with injuries to her leg."

Adding to this, the man had allegedly left the scene prior to the arrival of police.
