A popular North East hotel has won a prestigious award - known as the "Oscars of the hospitality industry".
Rockliffe Hall, located in Hurworth, County Durham, has been named a winner in the Hotel Cateys 2022 -with Commercial Director Teresa Kingston taking home the award for Revenue Manager of the year award.
The hotel was also shortlisted for two additional awards; in the Best Use of Technology and House Keeper of the Year categories.
The resort is a popular spot for week-long getaways and day spa trips alike. They have 61 luxury rooms, as well as a 50,000 square-foot spa, an 18-hole championship golf course, and three eateries.

Managing Director Jason Adams said: "We are thrilled that Teresa has been named Revenue Manager of the Year in the Hotel Cateys Awards 2022.
"It’s truly an honour for Rockliffe Hall to be recognised in such a prestigious industry award. We look forward to continuing to build incredible experiences and creating special memories for our guests on the heels of this award."
This is far from the first prestigious award that Rockliffe Hall - they have previously been awarded five red stars by the AA.

Additionally, Rockliffe Hall was shortlisted for two more awards, including the Best Use of Technology Award for the resort’s new website which launched at the end of 2021.
Meanwhile, Executive Housekeeper, Diane Payne, was shortlisted for the Housekeeper of the Year award which recognises those who are committed to the efficient running of the hotel’s housekeeping department and employ first-class hygiene standards.
The hotel brings plenty of employment and trade into the area, as many guests stay to explore the great outdoors of in the North East.
