Discount retailer One Beyond, formerly One Below, will open a new store in the North East next month.
Signs have popped up at the brand’s new site in Newton Aycliffe confirming that the store will open on Wednesday December 7 at 10am.
It comes after the bargain retailer confirmed last month that it was planning to open a shop in the town.

Customers will be able to expect a huge range of products including cleaning, beauty, toys, and festive goods at low prices.
The chain takes over the former Argos and EE store, most recently occupied by the short-lived Oops Food Clearance store which opened in February of this year, but closed its doors just a few months later.
The announcement comes just a week after One Beyond opened a store at Middlesbrough’s Hill Street Shopping Centre, creating 30 jobs.
One Beyond was launched in 2019 by former Poundworld boss Chris Edwards and Chris Edwards Jnr and employs 1,038 people across the UK.
It now has more than 80 stores, with plans for more to open in the next year.
In September the chain announced a rebrand, changing its name from from One Below to One Beyond. The company switched from promising prices of under £1, to offering ‘Amazing value from only £1’.

Company owners Chris Edwards Jnr and Snr recently told trade publication The Grocer that the current climate meant it would be ‘impossible’ to keep prices under £1 and that the rebrand had always been the intention.
Edwards Snr said: “To keep everything for £1 or less we’d have to take too many items out of the shop,” he said. “We were making it work but we always said those days would come to an end, and with everything that’s going on in the world now it’s just impossible.”
Earlier this month New Look also opened a new ‘store within a store’ at Tesco in Newton Aycliffe.
