Fast food restaurant Dominos pizza has set a date for its new restaurant in County Durham to open - as excitement builds from fans of the brand.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Dominos would be arriving on a brand-new purpose-built £2.6m development off Agnes Street in Stanley - alongside Greggs and Starbucks.
While there has been few updates since the news first broke, Dominos has broken its silence on when it will be opening to customers.

Taking to social media, the food group posted that December 12 would be the day when they'd open their latest restaurant - by saying: "Listen up, Stanley pizza lovers.
"The pizza is out of the box. We're opening our doors and turning on our ovens on the 12TH DECEMBER!
"Set your reminder for the big day NOW".
After it was granted planning permission in July 2020 after Durham County Council deemed it more appropriate than the empty land that some people park their cars on.
The outlets are expected to create 65 jobs, with 14 full-time positions and 51 part-time roles.
Alongside the job creation and the new outlets, 39 car park spaces will also be provided.
As part of the continued development of the site, a new photo of how the site will look once complete has been revealed.
Once Starbucks, Dominos and Greggs open in Stanley, they will become the latest big-name brands to open in the town, with McDonald’s, Home Bargains and Aldi all opening stores in recent years.
Despite the ongoing progress of the site, the arrival of the three food giants has divided opinion in Stanley, with some believing it’s a great idea for the derelict land, while others feel it doesn’t promote healthy eating.
Taking to social media, one resident from the town welcomed the site by saying: “Fantastic news! Better than the eyesore it currently is. I don't think it will cause traffic chaos and food shops or not, I'd rather see some investment in Stanley than none.”
However, another thought it was a bad idea, adding: “Is this a town where everyone just eats junk drinks coffee and has their nails done?”
