Hundreds of football fans have gathered in Newcastle on Monday (November 21) to watch England's opening World Cup match against Iran on the big TV screens in the city's 'fan village'.
Despite the 1pm kick-off time, the Central Park fan zone had a lot of people enjoying the atmosphere before kick-off and during the match - with many wearing England flags, shirts, and banners.
During the match, fans could be seen celebrating each of England's goals together, enjoying drinks and some laughs with one another.

This event at the fan zone was just one of many held in the North East during the game, including at Darlington Market.
It's expected that further games will also be shown across the region for England's World Cup group games against both Wales and the USA.
