A popular and busy retail park in the North East has welcomed the opening of a brand new The Works store after it opened its doors for the first time.
Described as a “fantastic addition” by owners Retail World, the new store has arrived at Team Valley in Gateshead.
The store will offer its usual family-friendly value products such as gifts, arts, crafts, toys, books and stationery.
Shoppers were able to visit the brand-new store as of Thursday November 17, when it opened its doors for the first time.
A spokesperson for The Works said they were “delighted” to be opening a brand-new store at the retail park.
They added: “Team Valley Retail World is a fantastic location that we have had our eyes on for some time, offering nearly 400,000 sq. ft. of retail and leisure space.

“The new store is located between Superdrug and ScS and is spread across 2,660 sq. ft. which will provide a fantastic trading space for our customers.
“At The Works, we aim to inspire reading, learning, creativity and play and our stores play a very important part in this.
“Customers visiting our Retail World store in Gateshead will be able to shop the products they love including Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol and brand-new books by authors such as Richard Osman.
“We are especially excited to be opening this side of Christmas and we look forward to welcoming new customers from Gateshead and the surrounding areas!”
Helen Ewles, property manager at Avison Young, managing agents of the retail park said: “We are delighted to welcome The Works to Retail World who will complement the strong range of retailers already represented on the park.”
