Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a North East dad.
Lee Kenneth Hogg and Terry Dalton are accused of killing Carlos Boyce whose body was found at a property on Homerton Road, Middlesbrough, last Friday.
The 36-year-old had suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another 36-year-old man sustained injuries which required hospital treatment.
Hogg and Dalton have been charged with murder and with grievous bodily harm (GBH) as detectives continue to investigate an alleged incident.
Appearing separately at Teesside Magistrates’ Court this morning, 52-year-old Dalton, of Ellerbeck Way, Ormesby, Middlesbrough, was remanded in custody.

Hogg, 37, of Lindisfane Road, Ormesby Middlesbrough, was also remanded in custody after a short appearance in court.
Neither of the defendants entered a plea to the charges and will appear at Teesside Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday).
Earlier, Mr Boyce’s family paid tribute to ‘the best man in the world’.
They said: "Carlos was a loving and doting Dad, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
“He was loved massively and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
“Carlos was described by his son as the best man in the world and that he was his idol.”
